A little update.

Wow! Has it been about two months since my last blog post about PS4H? Time flies when the NASCAR season kicks in full gear, thats for sure! We have been working pretty hard with our organization and have many things going on that will eventually help people in our state and across the United States that are struggling. First of all, I'm really excited that we are now sending less fortunate kids to summer camps all over the state of North Carolina! Kids whose families can't afford summer camps are receiving a blessing from Pit Stops for Hope and will be able to follow through with a dream of theirs. When the summer camps are complete we will post pictures of our happy campers! It's also that time of the year for us to begin production of our second calendar! We are super excited about the theme this year and can't wait to have this calendar ready for the Shootout to End ChildHunger in October at the GoPro Motorplex in Mooresville, NC. There are so many things happening, we are super excited and are pushing forward to do all we can do to help people out! Thanks so much for your continued support of our cause, we couldnt do anything without your support and prayers!

A week off.

We have approached our first off week of the 2015 NASCAR season. So far we are off to a grand start for PS4H! Our track sales have been going through the roof! At PHX we made $1700 and at Fontana we made approx $2000. We are in meetings about our GoPro Motorplex event in Oct and putting the pieces together for another calendar in 2016. The more experience and time we involve ourselves with this cause, the closer we are getting to understanding our root cause. There are so many people out there who need help, there is so much struggle, and so many kids who are getting caught up in this poverty, it will break your heart. It's tough to combat this problem when you have a full time job and problems of your own. But our PS4H team is dedicated to doing all we can to help our community. There is so much more we can do, there is so much more education and awareness that has to be spread. We must return to community playing the role of servants and when this happens, the change will happen! Jesus Christ described Himself as a servant. Why cant we?

Heading out for Phoenix.

Heading out for Phoenix tomorrow morning and we are very excited to set up sales on pit road. We had a great week from a social media stand point picking up 21 new followers from one of our Crew Shirt Retweet giveaways. Right now we are setting up for the future, and still finding our direction. This May will mark our 3rd year doing this and we are getting a feel for what works. A few days ago we sat down with Matt Linnville from The Salvation Army (SA). We were talking about our 2016 calendar and the direction we were taking for that, amongst other things. Matt then spoke of some pretty disappointing statistics that the SA has in Winston-Salem right now. Currently in Winston-Salem there are 64 school aged children that are homeless and living in the Center of Hope provided by the SA. 64 homeless kids in my city was mind blowing. We have to do something! These kids parents have stepped away from these kids, so we need to step up for these kids. This statistic has reignited a fire in my soul to do everything I can do to help. Please ponder this question: What are you doing to help child poverty in your state? I guarantee it exists.

First time setting up on pit road for 2015.

Las Vegas was the first time we could set up shop on Pit Road to sell some used race items. Daytona is too much of a rush, and Atlanta was too wet! We were very excited about setting up at Las Vegas for many reasons. The number one reason, is that we had many crew members donate many items for the cause this year. We are looking forward to knocking track sales out of the park this year. Despite our excitement, we had some early adversity to overcome. For the first time in two years, PS4H ran into some trouble with the raceway security. Although we were forced to close sales for the day by NASCAR, we made $620 in under 20 minutes. Thats awesome! The story ends on a happy note, we worked things out with NASCAR and we are allowed to sell at the tracks. We are very thankful to be allowed to sell goods on pit road. This is a huge source of our success as a charity.

Tony Blanchard, Racing 101 and PSFH team up for 2015!

We are so excited to be teamed up with Tony Blanchard and Racing 101 in this upcoming ARCA race season. We are also excited about the potential of our driver Sarah Cornett-Ching and what she brings to the table. We hope this car will help to spread awareness of child hunger in the US. America is a place where children should not be hungry. We can make a difference in children's lives! Please see the pictures below of the PS4H ARCA car!

Name change!

It's official! Pit Stops for Poverty is now Pit Stops for Hope! Hope replaces poverty in 2015 and beyond. Helping our community now for a year and a half we have been able to refocus and find out exactly the path we want to take going forward. That path is hope for kids whos future is not certain. It makes no matter if its food, aid for sports, aid for musical instruments, PS4H wants to be a light in the lives of children! Also, we have officially began work to become a 501(c)(3). We are very excited about the future of PS4H and how we can help our brothers and sisters in need. We pray, and hope you will too that God is with our efforts.
